  	#.#HTML PETERSON DESCOTEAUX Lorraine Carla   It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that Lorraine Carla Peterson passed away on May 15, 2019 at the Kelowna Hospice House after a brave battle with cancer at 55 years of age. Born June 20, 1963 in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Lorraine was the youngest of 6 children born to Maurice and Bonnie Descoteaux. Her friendly nature brought her early success as an operator for a local courier company. In the mid 80’s she moved to Red Deer, AB where she married and soon started her family. Motherhood brought Lorraine great joy and she happily devoted all her time to raising her 2 beautiful daughters.  She was a gifted gardener and took great pride in her hard work which she often admired on her backyard deck with a good cup of coffee. Lorraine loved animals and had a special fondness for her beloved Norwegian Elkhounds, who brought her much joy over the years. Lorraine will always be remembered for the unconditional love she had for her children, her generosity to others and, of course, her charming, witty personality.  We will forever miss her sparkling eyes along with her huge smile that brought all of us to smile along with her. Lorraine is survived by her loving daughters Karlee and Randi and by their father Kevin, her mother Bonnie Descoteaux of Kelowna, BC, by sisters Carol (Al) Wilson of Leduc, AB, Lois Rosaduik of Kelowna, BC, Sherry Descoteaux (John Whalen) of Leduc, AB, Denise Pollard (Mark Topolewski) of Kamloops, BC. by her brother Brian Descoteaux of Grande Prairie, AB as well as by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Maurice Descoteaux. Lorraine’s family wishes to thank Dr. Stone and the staff at Spall Medical Clinic, with special thanks for the nursing and medical staff at Kelowna Hospice House. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 11:00 am at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Rd, Kelowna, BC. Née le 20 juin 1963 à Grande Prairie, en Alberta, Lorraine était la plus jeune de 6 enfants nés de Maurice et Bonnie Descoteaux. Sa nature amicale lui a valu ses premiers succès en tant qu’opérateur pour une entreprise de messagerie locale. Au milieu des années 80, elle s’est installée à Red Deer, en Alberta, où elle s’est mariée et a rapidement fondé sa famille. La maternité a procuré à Lorraine une grande joie et elle a consacré son temps à élever ses deux magnifiques filles. Jardinière douée, elle était très fière de son travail acharné qu'elle admirait souvent sur sa terrasse arrière avec une bonne tasse de café. Lorraine aimait les animaux et aimait particulièrement son bien-aimé norvégien Elkhounds, qui lui a procuré beaucoup de joie au fil des ans. On se souviendra toujours de Lorraine pour son amour inconditionnel pour ses enfants, sa générosité pour les autres et, bien sûr, pour sa charmante personnalité spirituelle. Ses yeux étincelants nous manqueront pour toujours, ainsi que son immense sourire qui nous a tous fait sourire. Lorraine laisse dans le deuil ses filles Karlee et Randi, ainsi que leur père Kevin, sa mère Bonnie Descoteaux de Kelowna, C.-B., et ses soeurs Carol (Al) Wilson de Leduc, AB et Lois Rosaduik de Kelowna, C.-B., Sherry Descoteaux (John Whalen) de Leduc, AB, Denise Pollard (Mark Topolewski) de Kamloops, C.-B. par son frère Brian Descoteaux de Grande Prairie, en Alberta, ainsi que par plusieurs neveux et nièces. Elle a été précédée par son père, Maurice Descoteaux. La famille de Lorraine souhaite remercier le Dr Stone et le personnel de la clinique médicale Spall, en particulier pour le personnel infirmier et médical du Kelowna Hospice House. Un service commémoratif aura lieu le dimanche 9 juin 2019 à 11h00 au salon funéraire Springfield, situé au 2020, chemin Springfield, à Kelowna, en Colombie-Britannique.
