She was the wife of Julius J. Gavlik who died in 1969. They were married for more than 25 years. She was born on June 7, 1922, daughter of the late Edward and Alexina (Vaillancourt) Descoteaux. Mrs. Gavlik was employed as a home-health aide. She also worked as a stitcher in Lowell. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. Her survivors include two sisters, Rita Chartier of Westford, and Lillian Talmer of Lowell; many nephews and nieces including Ted Gaudette and his wife Suzanne of Dunstable. She was also the sister of the late Frank, Irene and Claire. She was also the beloved sister-in-law of the late Laura and Ted Gaudette, Irene and Perry Bentley, Loretta and Frederick Gavlik, Helen and Henry Gavlik, Alice and Carl Gavlik, Pauline and Jake Gavlik, and Patricia and John Flaherty.
